FA Cup Semi Final - Barnsley V Cardiff City

We were on our way to Wembley on Sunday the 6th  April  2008 with a convoy of six buses from the Maesteg Bluebirds. This is what dreams were made of. Due to brilliant organization by the committee, the Maesteg Bluebirds were flying high up the M4 on schedule. What a feeling it was to see thousands of fellow Cardiff City supporters going past in cars and buses with flags and scarfs blowing out the windows supporting the boys in blue.

This was a day for Cardiff City to make history and to allow their dedicated followers to sing once again "Wembley, Wembley, we're the famous Cardiff City and we're off to Wembley". And they did not fail; 8minutes into the game the Prince of Wales Joe Ledley, Cardiff born and Cardiff bred, stepped up with an outstanding volley, probably the best goal seen at the new Wembley. Guess what - we're coming back!

We arrived at Wembley with plenty of time ahead which allowed us to take in the tremendous atmosphere, a mix of emotion and excitement. Here are some pictures before :
