On 28th April 2007 a players presentation was held at saphire gardens in Cardiff. Maesteg Bluebirds booked a few tables and had a strong party attend, we also had three awards to give out to players:
- Chris Gunter for young player of the year
- Roger Johnson for most improved player of the year
- Michael Chopra for player of the year
All in all it was a fantastic night. We had a really nice meal with free booze most of the night (Steve Smith took to much advantage of this, as you can see in some of the photo's). Fans were given a chance to mingle with the players and get autographs, photo's etc.. before food was served, then there was the award ceremony where Mel Hughes presented the players with our three awards. After the awards, fans danced and drank the night away while Mike Smith was dropping his trousers on the dance floor!!
If I were you I would book your seat for next years presentation as soon as you can, it's an excellent evening (even if your hotel fire alarm goes of 3 times early hours of the morning)
